How to add a Data Privacy Officer or representative to your Clym account
Steps to take to add a Data Privacy Officer, or DPO, to your Clym account
Various regulations require you to appoint a Data Privacy Officer, or DPO. A data privacy officer (also referred to as a data protection officer or DPO) helps to educate and train your organization's team members on data privacy regulations and ensures that your organization is operating compliantly. Looking at GDPR as an example, appointing such a person is a requirement for all companies that collect or process EU citizens' personal data.
You can easily add a DPO to your Clym account and manage their details anytime. You can also display their information in your Clym widget to show your website visitors that you take their privacy seriously.
Adding a DPO is an easy 3-step process:
1. Sign in to your Clym Control Center account
You should have received a magic link in your initial onboarding email. Please click Sign in from the email to get started. Alternatively, navigate to Clym's home page and click Sign in in the upper right-hand corner.

2. Access the Configure tab
From the left side menu, select Configure. Toggle to the DPO and representatives tab.

Click +Add representative.

3. Add a Data Privacy Officer
From the window that opens, click into the Personal details, Contact, and Address sections to add your DPO's details. Click Save.

If you don't already have your DPO or other representatives' data enabled to display in your Clym widget or Governance portal, you will need to toggle the setting on. To display this information in your widget, navigate to the Manage tab, click Platform to expand the menu, and select Widget. Under the Company tab, toggle on Display representatives' data.

Likewise, if you would like for your Data Privacy Officer's information to be available in your Governance portal, select Governance portal from the left side menu and and toggle on Display company representatives' data.
