Understand the types of scripts and links you need to add to your websites and what they are for
There are three types of scripts and links that you will need to add onto your website to stay compliant. Depending on the script / link, you may receive this via email once you have registered with us (or have been registered with us in case of Group accounts), or you can grab the code from the Clym Portal interface once you login. The table below presents the potential cases:
Type of code | What is it for? | Required? | Clym Admin | |
Widget | Activates compliance and displays the Clym widget on your website | Yes | Yes | Yes |
Footer links | Displays the links for "Privacy Center" and "Do not sell or share my personal information" in the footer of your site | Yes | Yes | Yes |
Embedded code | Generates data privacy compliant iFrames for embedded content, such as YouTube videos | Only if external content is used | No | Yes |
