Global expansion

We are thrilled to announce that we have incorporated more than 30 new regulations into the Clym platform, including regulations from Kuwait, Monaco, Montenegro, Qatar, Nigeria, and many more countries. As part of our ongoing commitment to safeguarding your privacy, we are broadening the scope of regulations covered by our widget to ensure that your website complies with the latest global standards. The update will come into effect in September 2023, and templates for these regulations will be visible within the platform.

In today’s digital landscape, privacy holds greater significance, particularly with the increased usage of cookies for data collection. While cookies contribute to a better browsing experience, responsibly managing the data they gather is crucial for protecting user privacy.

We are here to assist you in navigating these evolving requirements and ensuring that your website respects the privacy of all its visitors. Stay tuned for further updates as we expand our coverage. If you would like to deactivate the widget for any of the countries on your website, you can adjust the settings in your account.

New York - Website Privacy Controls

Along with new regulations, we've introduced new configurations for New York inspired by the recently released New York guidelines on Website Privacy Controls, designed to help you better manage online tracking and ensure transparency with your website visitors. While New York has not yet enacted a comprehensive privacy law specifically regulating online tracking, these guidelines emphasize the importance of truthful and non-misleading practices in how businesses handle consumer data.

Clym is here to assist you in aligning with these best practices, ensuring that your website's privacy statements accurately reflect how and when visitors are tracked and that your privacy controls function as promised.

For visitors from New York, we've added a transparent banner informing them about cookie collection, with an option to opt out of such processing via a second widget layer. Although there's no current requirement in New York to collect consent for cookies and scripts, our focus is on providing transparency and control for users, allowing them to make informed choices about their data.

We invite you to explore our blog post to learn more about the requirements and guidelines recently announced by the New York Attorney General in this area.
