Steps to take in order to change the widget type per jurisdiction to discrete, classic, blocker, footer, top, or hidden
Clym provides several options that you can choose from to determine where the Clym widget appears on your website, allowing you to keep your branding and the overall look and feel of your website consistent. Some data privacy regulations require that your widget is displayed in a certain way to your website visitors. Based on this, when your Clym account is created, each jurisdiction is automatically pre-configured based on regulation requirements. However, you may wish to change the display mode after that to meet your business needs.
Editing your widget display mode is an easy 3-step process:
1. Sign into your Clym Portal
You should have received a magic link in your initial onboarding email. Please click Sign in from the email to get started. Alternatively, navigate to Clym's home page and click on Sign in in the upper right-hand corner.
2. Open your Website Settings
From the left side menu, select Website Settings. From here, you will see a list of all of your domains, each which can have different settings if desired.
Click the settings wheel next to the domain that you would like to change the default language for. This will open the website settings for that specific domain.
3. Change the widget display mode
From the Website settings menu, select the Geographical Settings drop down arrow to expand the options. Click the three dots next to the jurisdiction that you want to edit. Click the clipboard and pencil icon to Edit.
In the pop-up window, click the drop-down menu next to Widget and then the drop-down menu next to Widget type to choose a selection: Classic, Discrete, Blocker, Footer, Top or Hidden. Click Submit.
