How to add a new domain

Steps to adding a new domain

If you are a reseller partner with Clym, there are many ways that your customers' domains can be added to your partner portal account: manually one at a time, manually via import, via API, or by using your registration or scan widget. This article will specifically address how to add a domain manually, one at a time.

Please note: if you are a referral partner, you will not see the Add Domains button in your partner portal account. To onboard new customers, please share your referral links with your Customers to sign up for Clym.

Adding domains to your partner portal account is an easy 3-step process:

1. Sign in to the Partner Portal

You should have received a magic link in your initial onboarding email. Please click Sign in from the email to get started. Alternatively, navigate to the Partner Portal to sign in.

2. Click Add Domain

From the left-hand menu, select Customers. Click the drop-down arrow next to Domains to expand the section.

3. Provide data to Clym

In the pop-up window, fill in the necessary information for the domain you are adding. The Start Reseller product will already be selected so that your customers will not be charged directly from Clym. Click Add Domain.

Under Actions, you have four options:

  • Enroll adds the domains to the Partner Portal with the status New.
  • Enroll and scan scans your sites, creates an account, and makes the scan report available in the Partner Portal.
  • Enroll, scan, and send report scans the sites and sends a pdf report of the cookies that are currently running on said sites.
  • Enroll, scan, and invite scans your sites, creates an account, and sends you the Clym scripts for implementation.

Send intro email is enabled by default if you have an intro email template set for this type of domain upload. If set to yes, it will send the intro email that you have setup on your account to the domains that you are uploading. More information on this matter can be found in the email templates management article.
