How to add a new content takedown case field

Steps to take to add a custom new field to the content takedown form for your website visitors

When your website visitors submit a content takedown request to your organization, they must provide any relevant details that will be helpful to ensure their request is fulfilled as needed. When submitting a request, users have the option to submit the request confidentially, which means that their name and email are submitted with the request, providing a mechanism by which you can follow up with the user, or to submit the request anonymously, which omits the user's name and email from the submission. Additionally, the request form asks the users if they are depicted in the content, the URL of the content that they wish to report, and a brief description of the issue. If there are any additional details that you wish to collect, Clym allows you to add new case fields to be included in the form.

When a user submits a content takedown case to your company, the default settings allow the user to choose between "abusive content" and "illegal content" for their request. Based on the type of content used on your website, you may wish to add additional categories that your website visitors can choose from when creating a new request.

Adding a new case field is an easy 3-step process:

1. Sign in to your Clym Control Center account

You should have received a magic link in your initial onboarding email. Please click Sign in from the email to get started. Alternatively, navigate to Clym's home page and click Sign in in the upper right-hand corner.

From the left side menu, select Manage. Expand the Transparency & Accountability section and select Content takedown. In order to make edits to Clym's default content takedown settings, Overwrite default settings must be toggled on. In order to configure a case field for a content takedown case form, please enable Overwrite default settings. Toggle to the Case fields section.
