Steps to take to create a new whistleblowing case with an organization using Clym's whistleblowing solution
Many companies across various industries value transparency, accountability, and trust to create a healthy and successful work environment. Even so, unethical behavior, misconduct, or illegal activities within an organization are still possible. Whistleblowing provides employees like you with a secure way to raise concerns about these types of activities without fear of retaliation.
Globally, regulations such as the EU Whistleblower Directive, the USA Dodd-Frank Act, and the UK Public Interest Disclosure Act, outline requirements for organizations to provide channels that employees can use to report activities, and processes for organizations to manage these cases.
If you find that an organization violates an existing regulation, you may submit a case to an organization to address the concern.
Submitting a new whistleblowing case is an easy 3-step process:
1. Access the Compliance Center
On the customer's website, navigate to their Compliance Center, often located in the footer of their website.
2. Access the whistleblowing settings
From the menu, select Whistleblowing. On the next screen, select Report confidentially or Report anonymously. If you choose to report confidentially, your case will include your name and email address in the request. This will allow you to follow up on your request, and will allow the company to follow up with you. If you choose to report anonymously, you can add your name to the request if you choose, but your name and email address will not be mandatory to provide.
3. Submit your whistleblowing case
On the next screen, complete all of the required fields. Click Send request. If you have submitted a confidential request, you will receive an automated email from Clym asking you to verify your email. For your request to be opened with the organization you have submitted the request to, you must verify your email.
