Step-by-step guide for installing Clym on any website
Clym's widget is added to your website using a simple embed code. While each website is built differently, adding Clym will be similar for each customer. As long as you can add custom code to your website's header, Clym's widget should work successfully on your website.
If your website is built on a common platform such as WordPress, Wix, or Hubspot, please review our specific guides in the knowledge base. If you or a developer custom-built your website, or you are using a platform for which we don't currently have a specific guide, the instructions below can help guide you on where to place the embed code on your website.
Installing Clym on any website is a 3-step process:
1. Copy the Clym Widget code
2. Paste the Clym Widget code
Please open the area where you edit the code for your website's header. Paste your Clym embed code at the very top of your header after the <head> tag, above any of your other scripts. You may add space between your scripts by hitting the enter or return key.
Note that, to facilitate compliance, this script has to be inserted as the first script under the "head" section of your website. Failure to do so might allow third-party scripts to be loaded on your website and, depending on regulation, that might result in non-compliance. For easy viewing, you may leave space in between the Clym script and any following scripts or code.
Return to your website and navigate to the area to edit your footer's code. One at a time, you will need to generate a code and paste it into your footer.
It’s all done! Clym's widget will now display on your website based on how you have set up your widget layout.
