How does Clym manage Services on your website?

Overview of how Clym's widget manages all of the scripts and services that you are running on your website

Clym has a few ways to manage the Services on a website:

Clym Blocking solution.
This automatically identifies and blocks scripts that are found on the website. It acts as a filter that removes all scripts that do not have consent to execute, and once the user grants consent, it injects the scripts back. With Clym, you always have the option to set any Service to be blocked or not. To learn more about our blocking solution, please read this article.

Clym Tag Manager
Clym can act as a tag manager. You can place your scripts into Clym, and they will get fired when the consent is granted for the Services holding your scripts. To learn more about Clym's Tag Manager, please read this article.

Clym Google Tag Manager integration
If you don’t wish to use the Clym Blocking or Clym Tag Manager and your scripts are managed by Google Tag Manager, Clym can sync with your Google Tag Manager containers and can filter out your scripts before they get injected into your website. To learn more about Clym's Google Tag Manager integration, please read this article.

Google Consent Mode
For some Google services, there is the option to use Google Consent Mode. This is a signal that Clym can send to Google about the user’s consent preferences. The advantage of using Google Consent Mode and not blocking the supported services is that even if Google receives a “denied” consent state, Google’s algorithms can create predictions about those users. Currently supported Google services: Google tag, Google Analytics, Google Ads, Floodlight, Conversion Linker. To learn more about Google Consent Mode, please read this article.

IAB TCF Framework

TCF is a Framework developed by IAB to help all participants comply with data privacy requirements. Users can grant consent for various purposes and vendors, and that choice gets sent to all registered vendors. TCF only applies to GDPR countries. Clym is a certified IAB TCF member.
