Types of Clym scripts and links
Understand the types of scripts and links you need to add to your website and what they are for
There are three types of scripts and links available for you to utilize on your website. Your widget embed code is a unique script that is placed in your website's header. You can generate custom footer links that users can click to open your Clym widget or Governance Portal. When you have embedded content on your website, you can generate an embedded content code as a privacy-compliant way to display this content to users.
Type of code | What is it for? | Required? |
---|---|---|
Widget | Activates compliance and displays the Clym widget on your website | Yes |
Footer links | Displays links such as "Privacy Center" and "Do not sell or share my personal information" in the footer of your site | Yes |
Embedded content code | Generates data privacy-compliant iFrames for embedded content, such as YouTube videos | Only if external content is used |
