Product updates -> Migrating to Clym script v2
Migrating to the Clym Standard Script (V2) unlocks a wide range of advanced capabilities that are not available in the Legacy or SRI script versions. By upgrading, you gain access to enhanced configuration options, such as advanced settings, widget settings, flexible blocking modes, and expanded privacy framework support. These features allow you to fine-tune how your Clym widget operates, improve site performance through modes like Native Mode, and facilitate script management in accordance with user consent.
In addition, the V2 script introduces support for Consent Mode integrations with platforms like Google and Microsoft, along with the ability to define manual identifiers for greater precision when mapping scripts and images to services. These improvements support more accurate consent enforcement, better compliance coverage, and smoother integrations with vendor frameworks. Migrating to Clym's V2 script is the first step toward taking full advantage of these tools.
If you feel this is a task better suited for your webmaster or developer, please send them this knowledge base article. Migrating to Clym's V2 script version is a 3-step process:
- Sign in to your Clym Portal
- Open your Website Settings
- Copy/paste the Standard Script (V2) and replace your existing Clym script with the new version

From the left-side menu, select Website Settings. You will then see a list of all your domains, each with its unique settings.
Click the Integrations button next to the domain that you would like to access the V2 script for. This will open the website settings for that specific domain.
3. Copy/paste the Standard Script (V2) and replace your existing Clym script with the new version
In the Setup Instructions section, access the embed code by clicking HTML or by selecting your specific website platform from the options. From the pop-up window, ensure that you are toggled to the Standard tab. Click Copy to copy the Standard Version of the Clym script. Navigate to your website's header.
