# How to enable Global Privacy Control (GPC)


## Steps to take to enable Global Privacy Control (GPC) in your Clym Control Center settings

Global Privacy Control (GPC) is a standard that allows internet users to easily convey their privacy preferences across the web with just one action rather than multiple. GPC enables users to communicate their desire to avoid being tracked or having their data sold or shared directly to websites and online services. In the settings of your Clym widget, you can enable GPC, giving your website visitors more choices. Enabling GPC is an easy 3-step process:

#### 1. Sign in to your Clym Control Center account

You should have received a magic link in your initial onboarding email. Please click **Sign in** from the email to get started. Alternatively, navigate to [Clym's home page](https://clym.io) and click **Sign in** in the upper right-hand corner.

#### 2. Access the Manage tab

From the left side menu, access the **Manage** tab. Click to expand the **Property settings** section and select **Jurisdictions**. Click the **pencil icon** next to the jurisdiction that you would like to enable GPC on.

Click to expand the **Data privacy** section and click the **pencil icon** to edit the regulation settings.

#### 3. Enable GPC

From the window that opens, click into the **Widget** section.

Toggle **GPC enabled** on. Optional: If you would like to allow users to override the GPC setting, toggle **GPC User Override allowed**. Click **Submit**.
