How to embed your legal document on your website
Steps to take to access the embed code for your legal document in Clym
Many regulations require organizations to publish specific legal documents, such as a Privacy Policy, Accessibility Statement, and Terms of Service, to clearly explain their practices, commitments, and user rights. Laws like GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and various accessibility regulations emphasize transparency, informed consent, and equal access, and these documents are a key part of meeting those obligations. Beyond regulatory requirements, having clear, up-to-date legal pages helps build trust with your visitors, sets expectations, and demonstrates that your organization takes compliance, user experience, and accountability seriously.
Once you’ve added your legal documents to your Clym account, Clym makes it easy to get them in front of your users. Clym can generate an embed code that you can place anywhere on your website to display your legal documents in a consistent, accessible way. This means you can manage your content centrally in Clym, keep it up to date in one place, and ensure the latest versions are always shown wherever they’re embedded, without needing to manually update multiple pages or systems.
Embedding your legal document onto your website is an easy 3-step process:
1. Sign in to your Clym Control Center account
You should have received a magic link in your initial onboarding email. Please click Sign in from the email to get started. Alternatively, navigate to Clym's home page and click Sign in in the upper right-hand corner.

2. Access the Manage tab
From the left-side menu, select Manage. Depending on which legal document you are looking to generate an embed code for, you will expand the Data privacy, Accessibility, or Transparency & Accountability section.

After expanding your selection, click Legal documents. Click View versions to access the embed code for a legal document.

3. Copy the embed code
Click the three dots next to the document's code you would like to copy and click Embed.

Select iFrame or JavaScript to access the specific type of embed code.

Click Copy to clipboard to copy the embed code.

Please return to your website editor. Navigate to the page that you have created for the legal document you are embedding. Paste the copied embed code from Clym into the embed code widget/element or other appropriate place where you would like to show your legal document.
