How to add a new subdomain

Steps to take to add a new subdomain(s) to your Clym account

If you have more than one domain that needs to be covered with your Clym widget, you can easily add subdomains in your Clym admin portal. For example, you may wish to add a subdomain for a development or staging site, where you can test the Clym widget before fully implementing it on your website. When adding a subdomain to your Clym account, it will share the same settings that are configured for that domain, which helps to understand how the Clym widget will display.

Adding new subdomains is an easy 3-step process:

1. Sign in to your Clym Portal

You should have received a magic link in your initial onboarding email. Please click Sign in from the email to get started. Alternatively, navigate to Clym's home page and click Sign in in the upper right-hand corner.

2. Open your Website Settings

From the left-side menu, select Website Settings. You will then see a list of all your domains, each with its unique settings.

Website Settings tab

Click the settings wheel next to the domain that you would like to change the default language for. This will open the website settings for that specific domain.

3. Add your subdomain(s)

From the Website settings menu, select the Subdomains drop-down to expand the selections. Click the Add Subdomain + button.

In the pop-up window, enter the URL of the new subdomain that you would like to add. This subdomain will share the same settings as the main domain. Click Add Subdomain.
