Introducing improvements to the data subject requests functionality and to the overall widget layout
It is important to consider that your website visitors may have varying levels of understanding of data privacy laws and regulations. Some of your users might be well-informed and aware of their rights, while others may not be familiar with them at all. Because of this, it is your organization's responsibility to educate all visitors about their rights in a clear and easy-to-understand format. By adding the Clym widget to your website, you can delegate this responsibility to us.
To make the experience even simpler for users, we have introduced a new data subject request experience and a new widget interface.
Data Subject Requests
In this release, we have changed the structure of how DSRs are presented to users on two levels.
We have introduced DSR grouping, which groups together request types with a similar scope from different regulations. On the widget level, we are now displaying these DSR group names with simplified verbiage, so that users are better able to understand their rights and can make the correct request type selection with confidence.
In addition to these updated groups, we have added an option for users to mouse over the different group options to review informational text. This information better represents the legal verbiage of each request type that is more specific to that particular user's regulation.
With the new data subject requests improvements, users will also see an updated DSR submission flow, including redesigned confirmation pages and logic, and new email updates.
New Widget Interface
With the same goal in mind, to simplify the overall user experience of interacting with Clym's widget on your website, we have introduced a new widget interface, which now organizes your content underneath large blocks. This makes it easier for every user to quickly find the content they are looking for, and to feel empowered using the tool, regardless of their existing data privacy knowledge.
