Steps to take to add a new customized intro email template to your Partner Portal account
When you invite a customer or merchant to your Partner Portal account, there are two emails that they can receive.
The Intro Email
The intro email is a customizable welcome message sent to your customers or merchants, typically providing a brief overview of the next steps from Clym.
The Invitation Email
The invitation email is an automated message, providing your customers or merchants with a link to sign into the Clym Portal, their custom embed code, and the embed codes for the footer links.
The intro email is a key resource for establishing a relationship between Clym and your customers or merchants. Therefore, we recommend that you utilize this communication channel to its fullest potential. Our team can guide you in crafting a tailored message that is both informative and engaging.
Whether you choose to utilize our default template or create a custom message, we are confident that the introductory email will serve as an effective tool in building trust and demonstrating the necessity for website compliance.
Adding a new intro email template is an easy 3-step process:
1. Sign in to the Partner Portal
You should have received a magic link in your initial onboarding email. Please click Sign in from the email to get started. Alternatively, navigate to the Partner Portal to sign in.
From the left-hand menu, select Email Templates.
2. Add intro email
Click Add Intro Email.
From the pop-up window, select the Email template that you would like to use. Click Select.
Domains created via API welcome email: Intro email template used for customer domains created through an API.
Imported domains welcome email: Intro email template used for customer domains created through template import.
Portal-created domain welcome email: Intro email template used for customer domains created manually one at a time.
Domains created via Registration widget welcome email: Intro email template used for customer domains created using your registration widget.
Domains created via Scan widget welcome email: Intro email template used for customer domains created using your scan widget.
You can set up one template for each type of domain upload.
Use the HTML email template editor to edit the Email Subject, Sender Name, and Content. To see possible token options for tailoring your emails to each individual, click You can use the following parameters.
3. Enable intro email
By default, your new email template will be set to the status disabled. To enable your template, click the three dots next to your template and click Enable sending.
Click Confirm to enable the intro email template.
When an email is enabled for the Portal-created and Imported domains, you will see a tickbox on the creation wizards that defaults to yes for send intro email. You can turn this off manually in case you do not need that email to be sent.
